Beer for artists, by artists
‘Eine Halbe’, a half-liter jug of beer, is already an institution within the rich German drinking tradition. Now, Holland has Halbe Bier,
a new, idealistic beer brand for the arts. Halbe has multiple sweet
characteristics. It’s nice and blond; it’s brewed, designed and sold by
artists; and the profits made go entirely to the arts. With their beer,
the creative minds behind Halbe hope to create an alternative source of
income for young artists, theatre-makers and musicians.
At Border Sessions, artist/entrepreneur Teun Castelein and Henriëtte Waal (artist/public space designer) will tell us all about their blond-brewed baby.
